Wistoria: Wand and Sword Chapter 70 Official Release Date & Prediction Guide
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Chapter 70 is shaping up to be one of those chapters where the actual fight almost feels secondary to what the characters are saying to each other. After Chapter 69, I honestly don’t know what hurts more: watching Will Serfort and Teo turn their swords against each other, or realizing that both of them have perfectly understandable reasons for standing where they are.
And that’s exactly why this arc is working so well.
Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi have taken what could have been a fairly standard investigation storyline and turned it into something much darker. Will has finally come face-to-face with the Book of Destruction, Teo has revealed just how far he is willing to go, and the word “God” suddenly feels much more frightening than any monster we’ve seen so far.
If Chapter 69 is anything to go by, Chapter 70 won’t simply be another Will fight. It could be the moment that permanently changes Will and Teo’s relationship.
Wistoria Chapter 70 Release Date and What Fans Are Expecting
According to the current schedule presented for the manga, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Chapter 70 is expected to release on November 8, 2026, continuing the series’ monthly serialization.
For readers following the digital release in the United States, the expected times are:

Obviously, if you’ve managed to avoid Chapter 69 spoilers, I’d recommend doing yourself a favor and staying away from social media before reading Chapter 70. The Will and Teo reveal is exactly the sort of thing Reddit is going to dissect panel by panel.
Chapter 69 Completely Changed How I See Teo
Let’s get this out of the way: I did not expect Teo to become this important to the conflict.
The moment he recognizes the hooded figure as Will, everything changes.
At first, Teo desperately tries to convince himself that what he’s seeing isn’t real. Maybe it’s an illusion. Maybe the enemy is manipulating his senses. Maybe the Capital is somehow involved.
But then Will gets close.
The terrifying part isn’t that Will attacks immediately. It’s that he approaches Teo almost calmly. He places his hands against Teo’s face, closes his eyes, and looks almost peaceful.
Then comes the confirmation.
This really is Will.
That scene hit me harder than a typical transformation or big reveal because Teo isn’t looking at some mysterious villain. He’s looking at someone he knows.
Someone he trusted.
And Will knows exactly what that means.
Will’s Hatred Is Much More Complicated Than It First Appeared
One of my favorite things about Chapter 69 is that Will doesn’t suddenly become a different character just because he’s connected to the Book of Destruction.
His anger has been there.
We’ve seen the world discriminate against people who don’t fit its magical hierarchy. We’ve seen the brutal consequences of that system. Will himself has spent most of his life being treated as an outsider because he cannot use magic in the way society expects.
So when Will explodes and declares that he hates this world, I don’t read that as a random villain speech.
That’s what makes it uncomfortable.
I understand where the anger comes from.
I just completely reject what Will’s side is proposing as the solution.
The Book of Destruction isn’t talking about fixing the system. They’re talking about destroying the entire world and rebuilding it through the power of the beings they call “God.”
And that’s where Will and Teo become fascinating opposites.
They may have suffered under the same world, but they’ve reached completely different conclusions.
- Teo believes the world must be destroyed to create something better.
- Will believes suffering doesn’t justify making innocent people suffer.
- Both understand that the current system is deeply broken.
- Only one of them is willing to accept mass destruction as the answer.
That distinction is basically the emotional core of this entire confrontation.
The “God” Reveal Could Be Much Bigger Than the Fight
The most interesting piece of Chapter 69 might actually be the brief discussion about the Headless Ones and God.
Will explains that the beings known as Heavenly Invaders aren’t simply monsters. According to what he’s learned, they’re connected to something much more powerful.
Something that can supposedly accomplish anything.
And that raises a ridiculous number of questions.
What exactly are the Headless Ones?
What did Finn know?
Why did Finn previously refer to something that sounds connected to the same concept?
And most importantly, how much of the world’s history has been hidden from everyone living behind the Great Barrier?
I wouldn’t be surprised if Chapter 70 gives us only a small piece of the answer rather than explaining everything. Honestly, I hope it does.
Wistoria is at its best when it gives us one terrifying piece of information and then lets us sit with it.
Will vs. Teo: This Fight Is Going to Hurt
The final pages of Chapter 69 make one thing painfully obvious: these two are going to fight.
Not argue.
Not talk their way out of it.
Fight.
The collision between Will’s blade and Teo’s broadsword is the perfect visual representation of their disagreement. They’re physically standing against each other because there is no ideological compromise left.
And Will’s internal reaction makes the scene even more brutal.
He isn’t thinking about killing Teo.
He’s thinking about stopping his friend.
That’s an important distinction.
I expect Chapter 70 to focus heavily on Will trying to win without delivering a fatal blow. The problem is that Teo probably doesn’t have the same limitation anymore.
Once you’ve convinced yourself that destroying the world is necessary, killing one person standing in your way becomes much easier to justify.
That’s why I think Will is actually at a disadvantage emotionally, even if he’s the stronger fighter.
My Biggest Chapter 70 Predictions
There are several directions I could see the manga taking, but three stand out to me.
1. Will Will Fight at Full Strength?
This is the obvious question.
Will has always had a ridiculous physical foundation because he can’t rely on conventional magic. If Teo can genuinely match his speed and strength, Will may be forced to push himself into one of his more extreme states.
I wouldn’t be shocked if we see his limiter pushed further than before.
But there’s a catch: Will doesn’t want to kill Teo.
That means he may actually fight below his maximum potential.
2. Colette Could Become the Wild Card
The parallel battle involving Colette feels way too important to be completely separate from Will and Teo.
She’s already dealing with one of Gohtia’s more unstable fighters, while the main confrontation is escalating into a potentially lethal duel.
If Colette wins her battle quickly enough, I can absolutely imagine her reaching Will and Teo at the worst possible moment.
And let’s be honest: Colette seeing Will fighting someone he considers a friend could completely change the emotional temperature of the scene.
Her earth magic could also give her a way to physically separate the two.
I’m not predicting that she’ll simply stop the fight, but I think her involvement is extremely likely to matter.
3. Finn’s Connection to “God” Will Be Explored
This is the theory I’m personally most interested in.
The flashback involving Finn doesn’t feel accidental. Manga authors don’t casually introduce a mysterious statement about “God” during an arc this important unless they’re planting something for later.
Chapter 70 could reveal another fragment of Finn’s history or explain what he actually encountered in the past.
I wouldn’t expect the complete mythology of the Heavenly Invaders yet.
Instead, I think we’ll get one more puzzle piece.
And somehow, I suspect that puzzle piece is going to make the Great Barrier look much less straightforward than we’ve been led to believe.
The Real Battle Isn’t Will vs. Teo
This is probably the biggest reason I’m enjoying the current arc.
On paper, this is a sword fight.
Underneath that, it’s an argument about whether a broken world deserves to be destroyed.
Teo has essentially decided that the answer is yes.
Will hasn’t.
That’s why the confrontation feels personal instead of simply good guy versus bad guy.
Will isn’t defending the world because he suddenly believes the magical society is perfect. Quite the opposite. He knows how cruel this world can be.
He’s fighting because destroying everyone isn’t justice.
And I think that distinction is going to become increasingly important as the Book of Destruction’s ideology is revealed.
Why Chapter 70 Could Be a Major Turning Point
The series has spent a lot of time building Will’s relationships with the people around him. So turning Teo into an enemy isn’t just a convenient plot twist.
It attacks the emotional foundation of the story.
Will has spent so much of his journey trying to prove that someone without magic can still have a place in this world. Now he’s being forced to confront someone who believes that the entire world is beyond saving.
That’s a much more interesting conflict than simply good guy versus bad guy.
And personally, I don’t think Teo is going to be written as a disposable villain.
Even if Will defeats him, I expect Teo’s beliefs to remain important.
| Character | Belief Going Into Chapter 70 |
|---|---|
| Will | The world is flawed, but innocent people shouldn’t be sacrificed |
| Teo | The world is fundamentally broken and must be destroyed |
| Colette | Protect Will and oppose Gohtia’s plan |
| Finn | Appears to know far more about the world’s hidden history |
| Gohtia | Summon the Heavenly Invaders and reshape the world |
My Take: Don’t Expect a Simple Winner
If I had to make one prediction, it’s this: Chapter 70 probably won’t end with Will simply beating Teo and moving on.
That would be too easy.
I think the fight will either be interrupted, escalate into something much bigger, or reveal another ability connected to Gohtia and the Heavenly Invaders.
The most interesting possibility is that Will wins the physical confrontation but fails to stop the larger plan.
Because that would keep the emotional conflict alive.
And honestly, I’d rather see that than a clean victory.
The worst outcome for Will isn’t losing the fight.
It’s being forced to win it against someone he still considers his friend.
That’s the part of Chapter 70 I’m actually nervous about.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword has reached a point where the magic and swordplay are still spectacular, but the emotional stakes are finally catching up with them. Will and Teo aren’t just throwing weapons at each other. They’re fighting over two completely different visions of what the future should look like.
And after Chapter 69, I have a feeling neither of them is walking away from this confrontation unchanged.
Chapter 70 can’t come soon enough.
