Black Clover Season 2: All 7 Ryuzen Seven Members Ranked, Magic Attributes & Profiles

If there is one thing I am genuinely excited to see in Black Clover Season 2, it is the Hino Country arc. The series has already introduced plenty of memorable Magic Knights, terrifying devils, and absurdly powerful villains, but the Ryuzen Seven bring something completely different to the table.

These seven warriors are not simply another group of powerful mages. They represent an entirely different approach to combat. Instead of depending only on mana reserves and traditional grimoires, the Ryuzen Seven combine their unique Magic Attributes with Ki manipulation and Zetten, a technique that can dramatically amplify their physical and magical power.

What makes them especially interesting is that each member has a completely different personality and fighting style. Some are built for support, others are terrifying offensive fighters, and a few can stand toe-to-toe with the strongest characters in the series.

Of course, ranking them is not easy. Their abilities are extremely specialized, and some members are much more dangerous in a team battle than their individual offensive power might suggest. Still, after looking at their abilities and overall combat potential, here is how I would rank all seven members of the Ryuzen Seven from weakest to strongest.

7. Fujio Tenmanyashiki – The Ryuzen Seven’s Essential Support Mage

Magic Attribute: Sound Magic

Fujio is probably the easiest member to place at the bottom of a purely offensive ranking. However, that doesn’t mean he is weak.

In fact, I think Fujio is the kind of character who becomes far more valuable during a large-scale battle than a simple one-on-one power ranking would suggest.

His Sound Magic gives him a unique role among the Ryuzen Seven. Rather than charging directly into combat and trying to overpower enemies, Fujio focuses on supporting his teammates and helping them maintain their effectiveness during prolonged fights.

His combination of musical abilities, Sound Magic, and Zetten allows him to contribute to the group’s overall performance. He can enhance the effectiveness of his allies and potentially help them recover during intense encounters.

That makes him incredibly useful against powerful enemies where teamwork is essential.

My take: Fujio may be the weakest Ryuzen Seven member in direct destructive power, but every great team needs someone like him.

6. Komari Imari – Lightning-Fast and Always Ready to Fight

Magic Attribute: Lightning Magic

Komari immediately stands out because of her energetic personality and aggressive approach to combat.

Her Lightning Magic is naturally suited for speed, and she takes full advantage of that. Combined with Zetten, her fighting style revolves around overwhelming opponents before they have time to properly react.

This is one of those matchups where I can easily imagine fans comparing her to Luck Voltia. The personalities aren’t identical, but both characters clearly enjoy the thrill of fighting and pushing themselves to their limits.

Komari’s greatest strength is her ability to turn speed into offensive power. She can move rapidly across the battlefield, enhance her physical attacks with lightning, and strike vulnerable targets before they can establish a proper defense.

Her performance against the Five-Headed Dragon is particularly impressive and demonstrates that she is much more than just a fast character.

My take: Komari might struggle against opponents who can survive her initial assault, but if she gets momentum, she can become extremely difficult to stop.

5. Jozou Hanegatsuji – The Silent Blade of the Ryuzen Seven

Magic Attribute: Wind Magic

Jozou is probably one of the most underrated members of the group.

His gloomy personality and constant lack of enthusiasm might make him seem less impressive at first glance, but his actual combat abilities tell a completely different story. Jozou is a precise and calculated fighter who doesn’t need flashy attacks to be deadly.

His Wind Magic works exceptionally well with his swordsmanship. By combining his katana with concentrated wind-based attacks and Zetten, he can create incredibly sharp slashes capable of cutting through powerful targets.

What I personally like about Jozou is that his fighting style feels very efficient. He isn’t interested in wasting energy or showing off. He simply identifies his target and eliminates it.

His ability to cut through one of the Five-Headed Dragon’s heads by himself is a pretty convincing demonstration of his offensive potential.

My take: Jozou doesn’t have the raw versatility of some of the higher-ranked Ryuzen Seven, but his precision makes him incredibly dangerous in the right situation.

4. Daizaemon Ooka – The Walking Fortress

Magic Attribute: Earth Magic

Daizaemon is essentially the powerhouse and defensive wall of the Ryuzen Seven.

He is a huge, intimidating warrior with an equally massive personality. Where other members rely on speed, technique, or precision, Daizaemon prefers overwhelming force.

His Earth Magic allows him to manipulate the battlefield and create enormous stone constructs. This gives him tremendous control over his surroundings while also allowing him to fight large enemies on their own scale.

The combination of Earth Magic and Zetten makes him particularly dangerous in direct confrontations. He can reinforce his body, increase the power behind his physical attacks, and withstand devastating blows that would destroy weaker fighters.

His ability to contend with enormous threats such as the Five-Headed Dragon demonstrates just how durable he is.

My take: Daizaemon is the member I would least want to fight in a straight-up physical battle. He may not be the fastest, but trying to break through his defenses sounds like an absolute nightmare.

3. Ginnojomorifuyu Kezoukaku – The Ryuzen Seven’s Wild Card

Magic Attribute: Snow Magic

Kezoukaku might have the most interesting personality gimmick among the entire group.

Normally, she is shy, nervous, and incredibly timid. But once she draws her sword, everything changes. Her personality transforms into that of a terrifyingly aggressive warrior who seems to live for the battle.

That contrast makes her unpredictable, which is already a major advantage in combat.

Her Snow Magic allows her to manipulate the battlefield and restrict enemy movement, while her swordsmanship becomes significantly more dangerous when combined with Zetten.

What makes Kezoukaku so frightening is the combination of speed, aggression, and unpredictability. An opponent might initially underestimate her because of her timid personality, only to discover that they are suddenly fighting an entirely different person.

Her berserker-like combat state reminds me of the sheer ferocity associated with Mereoleona Vermillion. The two aren’t identical fighters, but they share that same feeling of becoming more terrifying the longer the battle continues.

My take: Kezoukaku is a nightmare for anyone who relies on reading their opponent’s intentions. Once she enters her battle-crazed state, predicting her next move becomes incredibly difficult.

2. Ichika Yami – The Dark Warrior Who Trains Asta

Magic Attribute: Dark Magic

Ichika is arguably the most recognizable member of the Ryuzen Seven, especially because of her connection to Yami Sukehiro.

As Yami’s younger sister, Ichika naturally attracts a lot of attention, but she quickly proves that she isn’t simply living in her brother’s shadow.

She is an exceptionally skilled warrior with an extremely disciplined approach to combat. Her mastery of Ki and Zetten makes her an important figure in Asta’s development during the Hino Country storyline.

Ichika’s Dark Magic gives her powerful offensive options, while her kenjutsu allows her to fight at close range with incredible precision. When she combines these abilities with Zetten, her attacks become significantly more threatening.

Her Dark-Cloaked Black Warrior form is especially impressive, giving her a powerful defensive and offensive boost.

There is also an interesting contrast between Ichika and Yami. Both possess Dark Magic and have strong connections to swordsmanship, but their personalities and philosophies make them feel like very different characters.

My take: Ichika is one of those characters who immediately feels like she belongs among the strongest fighters in the franchise. She is not just “Yami’s sister”—she has more than enough ability to establish her own identity.

1. Yosuga Musyogatake – The Strongest Ryuzen Seven Member

Magic Attribute: Iron Magic

For me, Yosuga is the obvious choice for the number-one spot.

His entire character is built around strength, discipline, and combat mastery. He was once considered a rival to Ryuya Ryudo, and although Ryuya eventually became the Shogun, Yosuga remained one of the most powerful warriors in Hino Country.

His Iron Magic allows him to create and manipulate incredibly durable iron, giving him an enormous advantage in both offense and defense.

But the real reason I rank him above everyone else is his mastery of Zetten.

Yosuga doesn’t simply use Zetten as a temporary power boost. He has refined the technique to an extraordinary level, combining it with his physical strength, swordsmanship, and Iron Magic.

His ultimate ability, Iron God of War, transforms him into an armored powerhouse capable of enduring devastating attacks while delivering equally brutal counterattacks.

What makes Yosuga particularly interesting is his role in Asta’s development. Asta has always been someone who improves by fighting stronger opponents, and Yosuga represents exactly the kind of warrior who can push him beyond his limits.

My take: Yosuga feels like the ultimate expression of what the Ryuzen Seven represent. He doesn’t need overwhelming magical tricks. His mastery of combat fundamentals, Iron Magic, Ki, and Zetten makes him an incredibly complete fighter.

Final Ryuzen Seven Ranking

If I had to rank the seven based on overall combat ability, Zetten mastery, versatility, and individual threat level, my final order would be:

1. Yosuga Musyogatake
2. Ichika Yami
3. Ginnojomorifuyu Kezoukaku
4. Daizaemon Ooka
5. Jozou Hanegatsuji
6. Komari Imari
7. Fujio Tenmanyashiki

Of course, rankings like this are always going to be subjective. Fujio, for example, could be far more valuable than his seventh-place position suggests if we’re talking about team battles. Likewise, the gap between several members may not be as large as the ranking makes it look.

What makes the Ryuzen Seven so exciting is precisely this variety. They aren’t seven copies of the same overpowered swordsman. Each one brings a distinct Magic Attribute, personality, and combat philosophy.

Why the Ryuzen Seven Could Be So Important in Black Clover Season 2

The biggest thing the Ryuzen Seven add to Black Clover is a new perspective on power.

The Clover Kingdom’s strongest fighters traditionally rely on their Magic Attributes, grimoires, mana reserves, and specialized spells. The Ryuzen Seven demonstrate that there is another path to becoming overwhelmingly powerful.

Ki and Zetten turn discipline and technique into genuine weapons.

That is especially important for Asta. Since he has always been an unusual character because of his lack of conventional magic, the Hino Country arc gives him an opportunity to learn from warriors who approach combat from a completely different angle.

Personally, I think the Ryuzen Seven are one of the best additions to the Black Clover world. Their designs, personalities, fighting styles, and connection to Hino Country give the story a fresh identity. If Black Clover Season 2 adapts their battles with the same energy that made earlier arcs so memorable, I can easily see these seven becoming fan favorites.

And honestly, I’m most curious to see how the anime handles Yosuga and Ichika. Those two have the strongest presence for me, but the entire group has enough personality and variety to make the Hino Country arc one of the most exciting chapters in the series.
