Kagurabachi Chapter 134 Release Date, Exact Chapter 133 Breakdown, and Verified Fan Analysis

If there is one thing I have learned from following Kagurabachi, it is that this manga has a habit of making even a seemingly simple character introduction feel like a warning shot. Chapter 133 is a perfect example.

After the chaos surrounding the latest developments, Takeru Hokazono introduces the Misaka brothers, and honestly, I think this is one of those moments that could become much more important than it initially appears. The chapter is violent, weirdly funny, and packed with small details that make you wonder what Hokazono is setting up for the next stage of the story.

So, here is my breakdown of Kagurabachi Chapter 134, including the expected release date, what happened in Chapter 133, and the theories I find most convincing right now.

Kagurabachi Chapter 134 Release Date

Assuming there is no unexpected Weekly Shonen Jump break or publication delay, Kagurabachi Chapter 134 is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Kagurabachi Chapter 134 Release Date, Exact Chapter 133 Breakdown, and Verified Fan Analysis

For international readers, the chapter should become available through the official digital platforms at approximately the following times:

Time ZoneExpected Release
Pacific Time8:00 AM, Sunday
Central Time10:00 AM, Sunday
Eastern Time11:00 AM, Sunday
GMT4:00 PM, Sunday
Japan Time12:00 AM, Monday

The exact availability can vary slightly depending on the platform and region, so I would still check MANGA Plus or the VIZ Shonen Jump service when the chapter drops.

And yes, I will absolutely be checking the moment it comes out. The ending of Chapter 133 is way too good to ignore.

What Happened in Kagurabachi Chapter 133?

Chapter 133, “Misaka Version II,” immediately throws us into chaos.

There is no slow introduction or lengthy explanation. Instead, we get panic, motorcycles, police, gang members, and a mysterious swordsman who looks completely unfazed by the mess surrounding him.

Misaka Makes an Entrance

The chapter opens with civilians and police trying to get away from the situation. People are shouting warnings about Misaka while the streets descend into chaos.

Then Misaka arrives on a motorcycle.

What I really liked here is how casually Hokazono presents his strength. Misaka doesn’t need a giant transformation, an elaborate technique, or some dramatic speech about becoming the strongest.

He basically rides straight into the chaos and acts annoyed that everyone is making so much noise.

Then things get ridiculous.

Misaka launches himself from the motorcycle, draws his katana in mid-air, and cuts an incoming motorcycle completely in half.

It is one of those panels where you immediately understand what the author is trying to communicate:

This guy is not normal.

And apparently, he did all of this without relying on the kind of supernatural advantages we normally associate with the strongest fighters in Kagurabachi.

Shiba’s Assessment Makes Misaka Even More Interesting

While all of this is happening, Shiba is observing the situation and communicating with another contact.

This is where we get one of the most interesting pieces of information about Misaka.

A newspaper clipping references a shocking incident involving him:

“PATRICIDE: BOY KILLS FATHER.”

Kagurabachi Chapter 134 Release Date, Exact Chapter 133 Breakdown, and Verified Fan Analysis

According to the information presented in the chapter, Misaka killed his own father, who was a police officer.

That immediately makes his character much more complicated.

But what caught my attention even more was the discussion about his actual combat ability.

The conversation suggests that Misaka’s performance isn’t dependent on Datenseki or some special enchanted weapon. His natural physical ability, skill, and spirit energy are already extraordinary.

In other words, he isn’t dangerous because someone handed him a legendary weapon.

He’s dangerous because he is already a monster with a sword.

That distinction matters.

Misaka Doesn’t Want to Join the Fight

Shiba eventually approaches Misaka and identifies himself as someone connected to the Sorcery Bureau.

Misaka immediately understands what is happening.

The Bureau is looking for exceptionally strong fighters because of the massive conflict approaching the country.

But Misaka isn’t exactly enthusiastic about joining.

He essentially makes it clear that he isn’t interested, especially because he isn’t even fighting at his best condition.

I actually like this attitude.

Kagurabachi has plenty of characters who are obsessed with strength, revenge, or their personal goals. Misaka feels different. He doesn’t seem particularly impressed by the government’s attempt to recruit him.

And then his little brother arrives.

Natsuki vs. Misaka: A Fight That Wasn’t Even Close

Natsuki appears wearing dark clothing and a mask, immediately challenging his older brother.

His motivation is pretty straightforward: he wants to prove that he isn’t inferior to Misaka.

And the chapter gives us an absolutely brutal way of showing just how badly this rivalry has gone.

Natsuki’s Record

0 wins.
132 defeats.

Yes.

One hundred and thirty-two losses.

That might be one of the funniest character introductions I’ve seen in a while.

Natsuki is completely serious about changing that record, though. He believes that defeating Misaka will finally allow the people around them to live peacefully.

Unfortunately for him, Misaka proceeds to demonstrate why that record exists.

Natsuki attacks.

Misaka blocks.

Natsuki attacks again.

Misaka blocks again.

And again.

And again.

The fight is almost embarrassing to watch.

At one point, Misaka simply catches Natsuki’s sword with his bare hand.

Then he lands a devastating strike directly into Natsuki’s stomach.

Natsuki collapses, and Misaka grabs him by the hair.

That scene tells us everything we need to know about their relationship without requiring a giant flashback.

Shiba Finally Steps In

This is where Chapter 133 ends up becoming much more interesting.

Misaka is about to take things too far when Shiba intervenes.

He grabs Misaka’s wrist and stops him.

Meanwhile, police arrive, but they clearly aren’t comfortable with the situation. Their attitude says everything: they know exactly how dangerous Misaka is.

Shiba, however, isn’t intimidated.

Instead, he basically looks at the entire situation as one enormous headache.

The country’s supposedly heading toward a major crisis, and these two brothers are trying to kill each other in the middle of the street.

Then Misaka turns his attention toward Shiba.

And that’s where we get the cliffhanger.

Misaka threatens him.

Shiba doesn’t back down.

That’s exactly where I want Chapter 134 to start.

My Biggest Kagurabachi Chapter 134 Predictions

There are several directions Hokazono could take from here, but three stand out to me.

1. Shiba Finally Shows What He Can Really Do

This is my favorite possibility.

We’ve seen Shiba use his abilities for transportation, positioning, and tactical support, but I don’t think we’ve received a full demonstration of what he can do when he actually decides to fight seriously.

Misaka has spent the entire chapter looking like an unstoppable physical fighter.

That makes him the perfect opponent for Shiba.

I don’t necessarily expect Shiba to overpower him through conventional swordsmanship. If anything, I expect spatial manipulation and sorcery to completely change the rules of the fight.

Imagine Misaka charging forward only for Shiba to casually remove the distance between them, redirect an attack, or simply put Misaka somewhere he absolutely does not want to be.

That would be a fantastic way of reminding readers that Kagurabachi isn’t just about who has the strongest sword.

2. The Patricide Incident Isn’t What It Seems

This is probably the mystery I am most curious about.

The newspaper headline makes Misaka look like a straightforward murderer.

But manga rarely introduces a detail this dramatic without eventually giving us another side of the story.

Why did he kill his father?

Was his father corrupt?

Was he involved with sorcery?

Was there something else happening behind the scenes?

And why does Natsuki seem so convinced that Misaka is dangerous enough that killing him would make the city safer?

There are simply too many unanswered questions.

Personally, I don’t believe we’re looking at a simple “evil older brother killed his innocent father” situation.

I expect the truth to be considerably messier.

What About Natsuki?

Natsuki is another character I don’t want readers to overlook.

At first glance, he’s almost comic relief because of the absurd 0-132 record.

But underneath the joke is a potentially dangerous character arc.

Natsuki has spent years being unable to defeat his older brother. That kind of repeated failure can create an enormous inferiority complex.

And Kagurabachi is not exactly a series that lets emotionally unstable characters exist without consequences.

If the Sorcery Bureau successfully recruits Misaka, Natsuki could become even more desperate to prove himself.

That could eventually make him vulnerable to manipulation.

And considering the Hishaku are still one of the biggest threats hanging over the story, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone eventually tries to exploit Natsuki’s obsession.

Why Chapter 133 Could Be More Important Than It Looks

For me, the biggest takeaway isn’t even Misaka’s swordsmanship.

It’s the fact that the world of Kagurabachi is getting bigger.

We’re moving beyond Chihiro, the Kamunabi, and the established groups we already know. The appearance of powerful fighters with their own histories suggests that the coming conflict could involve people who don’t neatly fit into either side.

That’s exciting.

The strongest characters aren’t necessarily going to be loyal soldiers waiting for someone to give them orders. Some of them have their own grudges, family problems, criminal records, and personal philosophies.

That makes the coming war much harder to predict.

And honestly, that’s exactly what I want from Kagurabachi.

Final Thoughts Before Chapter 134

Chapter 133 feels like one of those chapters that introduces a character and makes you realize there is probably a much bigger story hiding underneath him.

Misaka is terrifying, but Natsuki might be just as important for completely different reasons. Shiba, meanwhile, could finally have an opportunity to remind everyone why he’s considered such an important figure.

My personal bet is that Chapter 134 will focus heavily on the confrontation between Shiba and Misaka, while also giving us at least one important clue about the brothers’ family history.

Whether that prediction actually survives the next chapter is another question.

That’s the fun part.

Kagurabachi is at its best when you think you understand where it’s going and then Hokazono casually pulls the floor out from under you.
