Shiki isn’t just fighting people who want him dead. He’s encountering Oni who may disagree with him, manipulate him, or expect him to become something he isn’t ready to be.

I want Shiki to be pushed into situations where his usual impulsive reactions aren’t enough. I want the relationship between the Oni factions to become messier. I want the Momotaro to feel like an actual organization rather than an endless supply of disposable enemies.
Most importantly, I want the anime to take advantage of the weirdness that made Tougen Anki stand out in the first place.
