War of the Adults Chapter 65: Release Date, Full Chapter 64 Breakdown, and Inside Theories

There is something seriously uncomfortable about the direction War of the Adults has taken lately. And I mean that as a compliment.

Kappy and Masaaki Tsuzuki have somehow turned what could have been a fairly straightforward psychological thriller into a bizarre social experiment where money, reputation, violence, and humiliation are all tied together. Chapter 64, “A DEMONIC TURN…!!!”, is probably one of the clearest examples of that.

Instead of giving us a huge action sequence or some dramatic revelation about Shinobu, the chapter spends a surprising amount of time showing how everyday life actually works inside the Re-Education Camp. And honestly? That made the place feel much worse.

The camp isn’t simply a prison. It’s a functioning economy.

People work. People get paid. People spend that money on basic necessities. And somehow, the system makes sure they are always one bad day away from having nothing.

That is exactly why I’m expecting War of the Adults Chapter 65 to get much more personal.

War of the Adults Chapter 65 Release Date

And, thankfully, this is exactly the kind of cliffhanger that makes a weekly wait feel painful.

Chapter 64 Made the Camp Feel Horrifyingly Real

What surprised me most about Chapter 64 wasn’t the confrontation.

It was the economy.

Yutaro discovers that the Re-Education Camp has its own little commercial ecosystem, including a factory where inmates produce merchandise connected to the Ratings Ministry. We’re talking about things like snow globes, keychains, and the infamous Adult Badges.

On paper, that sounds almost ridiculous.

Then you remember who is making them.

The inmates.

The same people stripped of their previous social standing are now producing products that apparently help reinforce the very system responsible for their downfall.

That is such a nasty idea.

There’s even a rumor that purchasing certain Ministry merchandise can improve your social rating outside the camp. Whether that turns out to be literally true or simply another piece of propaganda, the concept itself fits the manga perfectly.

The prisoners aren’t just being punished. They’re being turned into part of the machine.

And that’s much darker than a normal prison storyline.

The Lika Economy Is Basically Designed to Keep Everyone Poor

The other detail that stuck with me was the cost of simply existing.

Inmates can earn around 1,500 Lika for a full day of exhausting factory work. That sounds manageable until you look at what everyday comforts cost.

The camp provides basic food, but anything remotely satisfying requires additional money.

Some of the prices highlighted in Chapter 64 include:

• White rice: around 200 Lika
• Miso soup: around 200 Lika
• Fried rice: around 450 Lika
• Bath admission: 300 Lika
• Towel rental: 100 Lika
• Shampoo: 100 Lika
• Conditioner: 100 Lika
• Sauna: 800 Lika

The sauna costing more than half a day’s factory wages is honestly hilarious in the worst possible way.

And that’s the point.

The camp creates the illusion of choice while making sure that meaningful comfort remains expensive.

You can work harder.

You can spend your money.

You can try to move up.

But the system is still controlling the boundaries.

Yutaro Has Another Problem Now

Just when I thought Yutaro’s biggest concern was figuring out what happened to Shinobu, Chapter 64 throws another problem directly in his face.

Hanasaki’s old Dainihon crew has arrived.

The scarred gang leader recognizes Yutaro almost immediately, and there is clearly no intention of letting old grudges disappear just because everyone is technically trapped in the same facility.

The confrontation feels especially dangerous because Yutaro can’t simply punch his way out of the situation.

A normal fight might get him punished.

Trying to defend himself could still put him on the wrong side of the camp’s rules.

So Yutaro is caught between two systems:

the inmates who want revenge and the authorities who want obedience.

That’s a pretty brutal position to be in.

And Then We Meet “The Teacher”

This is where Chapter 64 really sold me on Chapter 65.

The camp speakers suddenly interrupt the confrontation, and everyone immediately changes behavior.

Not because the guards arrive.

Because The Teacher arrives.

His appearance alone tells us that this isn’t some ordinary administrator. He’s physically imposing, heavily scarred, dressed in an immaculate black suit, and apparently feared enough that inmates immediately tell Yutaro to sit down and behave.

That reaction is more important than his appearance.

We’ve already seen violence inside the camp.

What we haven’t really seen is someone who represents the entire philosophy of the Re-Education system.

That’s what I think The Teacher is going to represent.

My Theory: The Teacher Won’t Need to Beat Yutaro

This is probably my biggest prediction for Chapter 65.

I don’t think The Teacher’s first move will be physical.

That would be too obvious.

Instead, I expect him to demonstrate how much control the administration actually has over the inmates.

Maybe it’s their work assignment.

Maybe it’s their Lika balance.

Maybe it’s access to food, housing, bathing facilities, or the VIP Area.

Whatever the mechanism is, I suspect the manga will show that The Teacher doesn’t need a weapon when the entire environment is already one.

And Yutaro is exactly the kind of character who could become a problem for him.

The Dainihon Gang Could Force Yutaro Into a Bad Choice

The second storyline I’m watching closely is the conflict with Hanasaki’s crew.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they try something outside the cafeteria, possibly during a factory shift or somewhere in the residential area.

But here’s the interesting part: Yutaro can’t afford to simply fight back.

If he does, The Teacher gets an excuse to intervene.

So I think Chapter 65 could become less about whether Yutaro can win a fight and more about whether he can manipulate the camp’s rules without getting caught.

That’s much more interesting to me.

The VIP Area could also become important here. If Yutaro finds a way to secure a better-paying assignment, he might gain access to a completely different social environment while temporarily escaping the gang.

Of course, nothing in this manga stays simple for long.

What Is Really Being Made in That Factory?

Then there’s the weirdest mystery.

Why does the camp need prisoners producing Ministry merchandise?

Sure, it could simply be cheap labor.

But the manga has already made a point of showing us that the Ratings Ministry is deeply connected to people’s social identities.

So I’m not completely buying the idea that those products are meaningless.

I don’t necessarily expect secret tracking chips or some ridiculous sci-fi reveal. But I do think the factory could be connected to the wider Garden System in some way.

Maybe the products are propaganda.

Maybe they’re used to monitor consumer behavior.

Maybe the factory is simply another mechanism for making prisoners feel that their labor has value while giving them almost none of the profit.

Honestly, the last option would fit the tone perfectly.

What I Want From Chapter 65

For me, the ideal Chapter 65 would answer one question without explaining everything:

Who exactly is The Teacher?

Not his entire backstory. Not a ten-page exposition dump.

Just enough to understand why experienced inmates are terrified of him.

I also want to see how Yutaro reacts when his moral stubbornness finally comes into direct contact with institutional authority.

Chapter 64 was mostly about showing us the rules of this strange little world.

Chapter 65 could finally show us what happens when someone breaks them.

And that’s where War of the Adults gets really interesting.

The manga has spent a long time building a world where social status determines almost everything. Now Yutaro is stuck at the absolute bottom, surrounded by people who either want to exploit him, punish him, or use him.

The arrival of The Teacher changes the equation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Chapter 65 ends with Yutaro making one decision that completely changes his position inside the camp.

And knowing this series, it probably won’t be the smart decision.

It’ll be the necessary one.
